I’m a big fan of Pu’er tea in general, but I especially love shu Pu’er late in the evening, sometimes right before bed. It’s a soothing way to wrap up a busy day and prepare the mind and body for rest. This tea is my new ‘go-to’ evening tea – it has everything I love in a Pu’er. A steady flavor, a smooth, clean mouthfeel, and that soothing feeling that great Pu’er can evoke. The flavor profile of this tea was steady throughout many infusions, mossy, wet earth being the dominant player with just a hint of camphor on the nose. I’m hoping the camphor flavor will develop more as the tea continues to age. The flavor lingered pleasantly in my nose and back of the mouth and the relaxing feeling that I always hope for with she Pu’er was very successfully delivered.
