Rou Gui Huiyuan Keng is a tea made for the tea lover in every respect. Hailing from one of the most famous micro-terroirs in the Wuyi region, the dry leaf starts out with subtle hints of citrus-infused dark chocolate. The liquor colour is a deep bright orange and carries hints of tobacco mingled with more of those dark chocolate notes. The subtlety ends abruptly as the first sip engulfs you! Without being explosive or bombastic this tea delivers deep, punchy, rich, full flavour through well over 15 infusions! Early infusions of Huiyuan Keng Rou Gui are loaded with rich dark chocolate, subtle tobacco, mineral and contain an incredibly refreshing, elusive sweetness that words fail to describe. Later infusions (5+) reveal floral elements that compliment the ever-present silky, creamy texture. This tea unfolds with wave after wave of sensory delight, a must-have experience for the sophisticated taster!
