Wudong Mi Lan Xiang is our latest addition to our Wudong Dan Cong family. Everytime we get a new tea from Wudong Village, I get so excited for the tasting. Of all Feng Huang Dan Cong teas, Wudong is the pinnacle! Definitely take the time to enjoy this tea every step of the way. Once in a warmed gaiwan the honey sweet aroma was simulaneously calming and exciting mingled with a delicate floral note and hints of roasty grains. The liquor brews to a deep and clear yellow-orange with hints of that same honey and floral in the bouquet. The first sip of Wudong Mi Lan Xiang delivers a gorgeous mouthfeel, full, rich and clean. Floral notes and warm roastiness punctuate the flavor but there’s also a sweet aroma reminiscent of the honey aromas from the liquor. The flavlor is solidly grounded in the stoic roasted maltiness, with balanced floral overtones and very gentle sweetness. If you’re searching for next level Fenghuang Dan Cong, make sure to add Wudong Mi Lan Xiang to your stash.
