This Tian Jian really took me down memory lane! While all fine tea is really an experience, it’s really special when they hit you as this tea hit me. You’ll notice in the description that I call the flavor ‘antique farmhouse’. What is that!? Well, drinking this tea transported me to an antique farmhouse that I used to visit as a child. The wood stove flavor came out in the later infusions but the whole image was very vivid and pleasant. The flavor of this tea is indeed woody (the antique farmhouse was aged bare wood single plank walls – you could see the outside through the cracks in the walls!), with hints of a sheng Pu’er-like bite, but much more gentle with some sweet roundness making every sip a smooth delight. I’d be very interested in hearing how this tea affected you, please leave a review and let me know!
