Dian Hong, also know as Yunnan black tea, is a simple and wonderful tea. The dry leaf foreshadows some of the flavour elements of plum and raisin and the deep copper liquor is refreshing and sweet, reminding us ever so gently of the origin of this leaf (Pu’er cultivar) with hints of hay and barnyard. A perfect everyday tea, feel free to experiment with milk or other additives of that’s how you like your tea. Most of all, enjoy!

I came to this site to satisfy my love for Tie Guan Yin. Happily, I have found myself falling in love with many different teas.
Dian Hong would figure very highly in that statement. The description the way I would write it would include the word “Rich”. The tea’s flavor and aroma is very rich. I will definitely be keeping this tea in my stock

This is such an exquisite tea for the price point. Rich, almost peppery flavour that contrasts beautifully with the promised plum and raisin notes. This is an easy, pleasant daily drinker similar to Ruby No. 9 without as much menthol.
I like it as much as, if not more than, similarly priced black teas I’ve tried from White2Tea. Priced in CAD and with free shipping, it’s a steal. I find the ideal number of steeps does hover around three, after which it starts losing those fruity notes, but it doesn’t have to last forever to be nice for a quick daily tea session. I’ll be buying much more of it whenever it’s finally back in stock.
