From start to finish this Fu Zhuan Premium tea will delight your senses! The aroma of the orange liquor gives off hints of chocolate but is somewhat subdued. The first infusion had a wonderful progressing flavour. First, a hit of dried fruit (raisins) with a hint of tartness immediately following that. The centre of the flavour had a medicinal herb feel and the ending had a delicious cocoa finish. And that was just the first sip! The tart sensation at the beginning of the sip combined with the dried fruit as we progressed through the infusions and the delightful cocoa flavours pulled forward merging into a truly premium experience. The mouthfeel showed the quality of the material, very thick and rich and the flavours lingered on the palate long after the tea was swallowed.
Fu Zhaun Premium also contains a tremendously healthy fungus called Gold Flower (eurotium cristatum) which has been extensively studied in China and Japan and is linked with many health benefits.
