The power of a Top Grade tea is always immensely difficult to describe, yet so wonderful to experience. Referred to as Top Grade Bai Mu Dan because it is made with the very first buds of spring (not first flush, only the first buds produced by the plant – beyond first flush) along with the required one or two leaves, this tea has a dazzling combination of power, subtlety, and refinement. Each light gold infusion is filled with dancing fuzz, the tiny hairs (trichomes) from the buds that impart their sweetness into the tea. Our first infusion had a malty sweetness that gave way to a more honey-like sweetness in later infusions. Floral meadow aromas fill the nose with each sip and an oh-so-thick mouthfeel round out this perfect Top Grade Bai Mu Dan. Mouthfeel is an often overlooked aspect of a high-quality tea, but it is a critical indicator of quality. Of course, it will be hard not to drink this tea right away, but its quality also makes it perfect for aging, which will most definitely yield great rewards. Stock up now as only a small amount of Top Grade Bai Mu Dan can be made each year so that you don’t miss out on this incredibly crafted tea!
