Spring is here and I have headed off to China to meet with Jianli Wu, my mom, to find our tea selection for 2016. I’m looking forward to meeting our tea producers and some of our long time friends and of course I’m looking forward to trying a lot of new teas! Here’s a quick trip outline. Beijing – I’m meeting my mom here and we’ll be checking out the tea market at Ma Lian Dao among other tea outings. Anhui – Here we will meet with our yellow tea producer Mr. Ding Xinjun. He’s extremely dedicated to tea and using the correct process to make amazing tea. He also produces our Tai Ping Hou Kui. Zhejiang – We’ll be hunting for the freshest spring green tea! Fujian – Oolong! Tie Guan Yin, Wiyi Yan Cha, Feng Huang Dan Cong, so much tea to see! Guangdong – More green and oolong teas. Yunan – Of course we’ll be focused on Pu’er while in Yunan, but they also have a very early and delicious green tea, Dian Lu.
